Lovelytics is a Databricks-focused data and AI consulting firm specializing in artificial intelligence, data, and analytics solutions. Since partnering with Databricks in 2019, Lovelytics has experienced exponential growth, growing from 50 people to over 340 over the past 3 years. Lovelytics is a trusted partner for many of the most high-profile enterprise clients in Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, Retail & CPG, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Financial Services. We’re building a new analytics platform for one of our impressive clients and we’re looking for a Business Analyst who can serve as the critical link between our technical teams and business stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data, asking the right questions, and translating business needs into clear, actionable documentation. You’ll work closely with data modelers, business users, and technical stakeholders to help ensure that the new data warehouse is built with clarity, accuracy, and usability in mind. This role is not open to sponsorship at this time Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with the data modeling team to meet with business stakeholders across departments and gather detailed data and reporting requirements Document source-to-target transformation rules in Excel, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations Analyze source systems and datasets using SQL to understand structure, content, and quality Work across a variety of business functions within the Energy and Utilities sector, helping uncover insights and inform data design decisions Support UAT and validation by comparing expected vs. actual data transformations and results Help improve internal documentation standards and support clear communication between business and technical teams Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences: 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in data lakehouse or BI projects Proficiency in SQL, hands-on enough to query and analyze raw data from source systems- Strong skills in Excel, especially for documenting mappings and transformation logic Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Curiosity and interest in learning how different functions operate within the Energy/Utilities industry Experience with data projects (ETL, data modeling, reporting) is a plus, but deep engineering experience is not required Familiarity with Databricks What We Promise You: Exciting projects with great clients in varying departments and verticals across the world The ability to work closely with experienced data engineers and quickly grow and expand your skillset The ability to work closely with all sizes of companies, ranging from Fortune 100 to small local businesses A workplace where you are encouraged to challenge the status quo and develop new technologies, methodologies, and processes A diverse team consisting of data gurus, experience seekers, and entrepreneurial minds that are always pushing to be better Lovelytics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
