Provide hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to F&B Assistant Leaders and their teams, fostering a culture of consistent, elevated service reflective of Lyle’s hospitality standards. Partner with the Hotel Manager on service strategy, menu development, and guest experience initiatives Lead and support the seamless execution of private events, group dining, and strategic programming, working closely with Marketing to maximize engagement and revenue impact. Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and colleague engagement, taking proactive steps to elevate the experience Collaborate with Culinary, Events, Finance, and People & Culture to support departmental goals and hotel-wide programming Demonstrated proficiency in labor management, scheduling, and financial controls, inventory, cost controls, and daily administrative tasks Maintain compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and local regulatory standards Serve as the acting departmental leader in the absence of the Hotel Manager and Assistant General Manager of Lyle’s, ensuring operational continuity and leadership presence. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Previous leadership experience in hotel or restaurant food & beverage operations (including Banquets/Events) required; assistant manager or manager level preferred Deeply passionate about hospitality and service excellence, with demonstrated success in developing leaders and building high-performing teams. Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and basic administrative reporting Availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Commitment to high service standards and guest satisfaction Compensation: $82,000 - $85,000 Annual Salary Benefits At Lyle Washington DC we are committed to giving our employees the skills and support required to deliver extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, to grow in their careers.
