Overview LMI is seeking a highly qualified Software Test Engineer to support the System Team within the Army Training Information System (ATIS) program. This position is on a cross-functional Agile team within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation, and collaboration with other cross-functional Agile teams. Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on software requirements and user stories. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand system functionality and testing requirements. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Identify, document, and track bugs; work with development/integrations teams to resolve defects. Perform regression, integration, performance, and system testing as needed. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices. Ensure software meets quality standards and complies with applicable security and performance criteria Qualifications Required Qualifications Active Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in software testing and/or quality assurance. 2+ years of experience in direct support to the Department of Defense (DoD). Active DoDI 8140 certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+). Proficiency with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr). Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI. Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java). Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow). ISTQB or other software testing certifications. Professional certifications (e.g., (Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE) SAFe Agilist, SAFe DevOps. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required (e.g., quarterly for PI Planning, technical syncs, and major delivery milestones). Target salary range: $82,000 - 141,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
