Pay Information $130 per hour About The Position Join a leading healthcare team providing locum coverage in the General Surgery department at a busy hospital-based operating room setting. Position Overview: • Provide bedside first-assisting in robotic surgical cases, including GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics. • Assist with port placement and closure of port sites. • Occasionally support non-robotic surgical cases. • Manage occasional discharges, documentation, and outpatient prescriptions. Schedule & Location: • Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (approx. 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., flexible start/end times), 40 hours per week. • Immediate start through December 31, 2025, with option for ongoing PRN credentialing. • Work across two campuses with a Level II Trauma Center designation. Robotic Surgery Breakdown: • General Surgery (including bariatrics): 50-55% • GYN Surgery: 36% • Urology Surgery: 6-8% • Colorectal: 3-6% Team Environment: • Surgeons and residents present in all cases, with senior residents typically operating the console. • Supported by experienced scrub techs and circulating nurses. • Work alongside a team with over 30 surgeons credentialed on the robotic platform. Qualifications: • NCCPA Board Certification - Required. • Active Michigan state license - Required • BLS & ACLS certifications through AHA - Required. • Minimum 2-3 years of robotic bedside first-assist experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics - Required. • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
