Role Overview: As a DevSecOps Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Nuclear Planning and Command and Control Mission Applications for USSTRATCOM. Your work will ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of mission-critical platforms that support national defense objectives. What You'll Do: - You will design, implement, and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure management. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle. - You will monitor and optimize platform performance, ensuring high availability and resilience. - You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform infrastructure and deployment. - You will develop and enforce security policies and compliance standards across the platform. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation and operational efficiency. - You will document system configurations, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing. - You will support incident response and recovery efforts to maintain mission readiness. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related fields. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). - Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working on defense or government contracts. - Familiarity with USSTRATCOM mission requirements and nuclear command and control systems. - Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
