Role Overview: As a DevSecOps Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Nuclear Planning and Command and Control Mission Applications for the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). Your work will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery pipelines that meet stringent defense standards. What You'll Do: - You will design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps platforms that support mission-critical applications. - You will collaborate with software development, security, and operations teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines. - You will automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using modern tools. - You will monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability. - You will enforce compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. - You will participate in incident response and vulnerability management activities. - You will document platform architecture, processes, and best practices. - You will continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve platform capabilities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related roles. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. - Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Solid understanding of security principles and experience implementing security in DevOps pipelines. - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in defense or government contracting environments. - Knowledge of nuclear command and control systems or related mission applications. - Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, DoD RMF, or FedRAMP. - Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
