Role Overview: As a DevSecOps Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Nuclear Planning and Command and Control Mission Applications for the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). Your work will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery pipelines that meet stringent defense standards. What You'll Do: - You will design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps platforms that support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - You will collaborate with software development, security, and operations teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle. - You will automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using modern tools and scripting languages. - You will monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - You will develop and enforce security policies and compliance standards across the DevSecOps environment. - You will participate in incident response and vulnerability management activities. - You will document platform architecture, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing. - You will stay current with emerging DevSecOps technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related roles. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. - Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards relevant to defense environments. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in defense or government contracting environments. - Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Understanding of nuclear command and control systems or related mission applications.
