Role Overview The Director of AI Strategy & Value Creation (“Director of AI”) will lead LLR’s portfolio-wide AI agenda. This person will help companies identify practical AI opportunities, implement solutions, and drive measurable business results, while also supporting investment decision-making. The role combines strategy and hands-on execution, working closely with portfolio company executives and LLR deal teams, consistent with LLR’s collaborative approach to helping companies scale. What Success Looks Like Clear, measurable EBITDA impact across portfolio companies Stronger AI-driven differentiation in new and existing investments Faster, more confident AI adoption by management teams Key Focus Areas Portfolio Value Creation Identify high-impact AI use cases tied to revenue growth, margin expansion, and efficiency Build practical AI roadmaps tailored to each company’s data and capabilities Design and implement AI solutions, including automation, analytics, and LLM applications Track results and ensure initiatives deliver measurable value Deal Team Support Assess AI maturity, data assets, and competitive positioning during diligence Identify AI-related risks and upside opportunities Quantify potential value creation to strengthen investment theses AI Enablement & Leadership Upskill company leadership and raise AI literacy across the portfolio Lead workshops to showcase practical, high-impact AI use cases Build repeatable playbooks, tools, and partner networks to scale AI adoption Help companies test ideas quickly and move from concept to implementation Share best practices and accelerate cross-portfolio learning Preferred Qualifications 8–12+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or analytics Experience working in SaaS, tech-enabled services, consulting, or private equity environments Hands-on experience building and deploying modern AI solutions, including LLM applications Strong business acumen and ability to connect AI initiatives to P&L impact Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical action Comfortable balancing strategy and execution across multiple companies What This Role Offers A high-impact, visible role at the center of LLR’s value creation strategy The opportunity to shape AI strategy across a diverse portfolio of growth companies A collaborative environment focused on practical results and long-term partnership LLR Partners is a lower middle market private equity firm focused on investing in software and tech-enabled companies within the knowledge economy.
