This position is responsible for managing the procurement of MRO and Services (including sourcing, contract management, cost savings, etc.) to ensure best practice and best total cost. Annual Salary $100,000 Essential Job Duties Collect and analyze data; perform other financial and quantitative analyses as appropriate. Manage Request for Proposal events, including identifying and pre-qualifying potential suppliers, analyzing responses, presenting results, negotiating and contracting, and managing the process with North America and global scope. Track and report savings. Serve as a leader for multiple procurement projects with limited daily direction. Lead key vendor/supplier negotiations. Source and evaluate potential suppliers. Actively participate in assigned project teams and partner with engineers team for the development and execution of global MRO commodity strategies. Manage supply base and supplier relationships on a local, regional, and global level. Build out processes and systems to support better spend visibility & process compliance. Support implementation of procurement processes and Buyers Network activities in North America, including coordination with category buyers and implementation and enforcement of preferred suppliers Assist and/or lead special projects as required/assigned. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporation's quality improvement system. Assume other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 7 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent. 4 years+ of management experience. Demonstrated background and proven experience with RFQ processes, data analysis, supplier evaluation, and commodity support Preferred Requirements Master’s degree. Professional certification. Experience with indirect MROs. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives. Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices. Decisions impact the management and operations within a department or business unit. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. Provides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions for and/or resolves problems for others. Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
