Client-focused • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) • Consistently ranked as a Top Workplace • Internal recruitment team, in-house training, and a marketing department specific to our industry • We celebrate flexibility, allowing every team and office to lead with their proven approach • Our culture champions continuous learning and personal growth • We believe success comes through constant evolution and communication • We are passionate about having fun and making money, all while creating impact POSITION OVERVIEW: As a QA QC Program Manager at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for confirming Land Development Construction Plans meet Agency & Client criteria, assesses constructability concerns, and applies economic engineering while reviewing Construction Plans A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: • Confirm design meets Agency, Client, and Technical Specifications criteria • Confirm adherence to Client standard operating procedures and processes • Review plans and specifications for constructability issues • Assist project managers and/or project/Client leads with creating and adhering to schedules. • Provide QA/QC during all phases of a project (Concept, Due Diligence & Feasibility, Preliminary Design, Construction Drawings & Permitting, Construction, and Closeout) • Assist engineers with preparation of opinions of probable cost (OPC, aka cost estimates) • Review geotechnical and environmental reports, as well as traffic studies, to determine cost drivers and insure constructability • Ability to travel for site visits at various stages of a land development project • Create QA/QC guidelines and processes • Train team members to prepare constructible designs on an as needed basis • Review permitting submittal packages for completeness prior to distribution for agency review • Review surveys (ALTA, topographic, boundary, etc.) and Title Packages to determine if there are any title issues that affect development • Review and respond to contractor RFIs with assistance from Engineers/Design Team • Review and respond to contractor structure submittals for water, sewer, and storm drainage • Lead project closeout • Communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders as needed • Help foster and sustain strong Client relationships • Assist project leads in managing sub-consultants and other internal discriplines/sectors (survey, traffic engineers, environmental scientists, etc.) · Write a Summary for each Submittal and Bid Review • Assist with execution of all aspects of bid processes we lead on behalf of our Clients • Provide guidance for operational leadership. REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience • 10+ years of Land Development experience IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE: • Ability to perform in locations never worked in before • Experience reviewing Land Development projects • Strong and proactive communication skills • Ability to work independently • Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers • Ability to build strong relationships • Flexibility to change work assignments on short notice and under intensive deadlines • Problem solve and bring solutions to leadership to make final decisions • Prioritize effectively • Results oriented • Responsive • Sense of urgency LEVEL UP WITH LJA At LJA, we’re 100% employee-owned.
