Responsibilities: • Give importance to road safety when driving tractor-trailers. • Ensure both pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections are done meticulously to uphold roadworthiness. • Create optimized routes to increase effectiveness and guarantee punctual deliveries. • Make certain to comply with the necessary protocols for handling and packaging to ensure the secure delivery of shipments. • Ensure transparent and consistent communication with both dispatchers and customers during the delivery procedure. • Document hours and routine vehicle upkeep meticulously. • Comply with safety measures outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to ensure the well-being of employees and secure transportation of goods. • Immediately notify authorities of any vehicle defects, incidents, or violations to uphold regulatory standards. Qualifications: • A legitimate Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is vital. • Clean driving record. • Abiding by the DOT's criteria for physical evaluations and substance screenings. • Effective organization of time and coordination of tasks. • Adept in securely and swiftly transporting heavy and voluminous objects. • Proficient in delivering outstanding customer support while cultivating enduring connections with clientele. • Devotion to upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements, with an emphasis on timely incident reporting. Experience Levels Accepted: • CDL Trainees • CDL School Participants • The 12-week training curriculum for entry-level commercial drivers is carefully designed to accelerate learning through a structured program. Experience levels of participants may vary, from 3 months to over 5 years in the field Preferred Experience: • Skilled in handling different trailer varieties, such as dry van, reefer, flatbed, and tanker trailers, effectively. • Familiarity with handling multiple units, combination vehicles, and the transportation of goods across various modes. • Experienced in handling household goods and specialized shipments.
