About Faith First: Faith First is a Christian organization dedicated to inspiring believers through faith-based content and resources. Faith First builds bridges by providing content, connection and encouragement that enables us to navigate the divisive nature of our world and encourages us to participate in a healthy community life. Role Overview: We are seeking an Editor to oversee our national online publication - The Bright Side. This role involves managing independent content contributors, editing, and posting articles, and ensuring timely updates to the site. It also includes recruiting new contributors and furthering the vision of the site. Key Responsibilities: Managing and editing content from contributors to ensure quality and alignment with our mission. Posting clips and tasers through social media Posting weekly updates and maintaining the website’s content calendar Creating and sending weekly teaser alerts to subscribers Collaborating with writers and contributors to develop engaging, faith-based content Monitoring site performance and suggesting improvements for better user engagement Experience and Qualifications: Six or more years of journalism experience for a newspaper, onsite publication, etc. Strong writing and editing skills Experience in content management systems (CMS) and basic web publishing Understanding of SEO and social media best practices Ability to manage multiple contributors and deadlines effectively.
