We are seeking a fun and dedicated teacher with passion for early childhood education to join our team assisting in the Pre-K classrooms! Applicants should: - have respect for children, their ideas, and their problem-solving capacity - be eager to immerse themselves in a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum - have experience as a teacher in preschool or pre-k classroom - be able to assist in food prep and assisting with lunch preparation - must be available to work 9am-6pm About Little Seeds: We are a privately owned child development center serving children from birth until they go to kindergarten. Our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum puts a focus child-led discussion and activities; independence and life-skills; outdoor exploration and problem-solving. We are lucky enough to offer this programming at three locations across Wayne and Oakland counties and are excited to partner with GSRP to offer our unique curriculum with additional support from the state. Benefits include: - health, vision, and dental insurance - matching 401k - paid time off - professional development opportunities Responsibilities: - comply with all GSRP requirements for associate teachers - observe and document the children's behaviors, interests, and plans on a daily basis -provide coverage for Wrap-Around which is provided for children as an after school childcare - provide lunch break coverage for the Lead and Assistant teachers and fill in as a substitute in their absence - create a interesting and inclusive environment for all students - intentionally communicate with students, parents, and staff - prep lunch & snacks prepared for the children - collaborate with other teachers and staff to enrich the learning environment and community Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.75 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
