Overview Join our vibrant childcare team as an Assistant Director for Daycare, where your passion for early childhood education and dedication to nurturing young minds will make a meaningful difference. In this dynamic leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, support classroom staff, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children from infancy through preschool age. Your expertise in childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving will help foster a positive atmosphere that promotes learning, growth, and well-being for every child. Duties • Assist the Director in managing daily daycare operations, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and safety regulations • Enrolling children and hiring staff • Support classroom staff by guiding curriculum implementation, behavior management, and individualized care plans • Oversee the development and execution of age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and social-emotional skills • Ensure all staff are trained in first aid, emergency procedures, and inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs • Monitor classroom environments to maintain cleanliness, safety, and engaging learning spaces for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers • Coordinate communication with parents and guardians to update them on their child's progress and address any concerns promptly • Lead staff meetings, assist with hiring processes, and support ongoing professional development initiatives • Perform general office duties daily including reading mail and email, making and receiving phone calls, filing documents, managing database systems, and overseeing office activities. • Supervise and evaluate teacher’s performance, provide mentoring and training to help teachers improve their skills. • Qualifications • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings • Strong background in childhood development theories and practices • Prior classroom experience managing or supporting early childhood programs • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus • Familiarity with health & safety regulations related to infant care, toddler care, and preschool environments • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and community partners Join us in creating a nurturing space where children thrive!
