Description The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing employees within their assigned area of the warehouse and ensuring daily operations run efficiently and safely. This role manages all aspects of warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, selection, put-away, sanitation, and inventory control. The Warehouse Operations Manager provides leadership and direction to team members, drives adherence to company policies and procedures, and ensures accuracy, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & People Development • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supervisors and Leads/Trainers • Oversee 40-50+ hourly associates across one or more departments • Build a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement • Partner with HR to drive staffing, performance management, and employee relations 2. Operational Performance • Ensure department(s) meet or exceed goals for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery speed • Monitor daily metrics (throughput, defect rate, utilization) and identify root causes of variances • Drive operational discipline through standardized processes and auditing • Maintain alignment with site leadership on priorities and shift-level execution 3. Safety & Compliance • Promote a "Safety First" culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and Lipari safety standards • Identify and mitigate risks; drive proactive safety improvements 4. Continuous Improvement • Use Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to identify waste and streamline operations • Implement process improvements that enhance cost efficiency and customer satisfaction • Lead or support cross-functional projects to scale best practices 5. Strategic Execution • Translate high-level business objectives into clear, actionable operational plans • Partner with support teams (HR, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain) to align on capacity, staffing, and workflow • Manage budgets and analyze cost drivers to ensure financial performance 6. Customer Focus • Champion Lipari's commitment to operational excellence and on-time delivery • Ensure all processes contribute to meeting or exceeding customer expectations for speed and accuracy Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field • 3+ years of management experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or operations required; 5+ years preferred • Experience leading large teams (70+ employees) in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in data analysis and operational metrics • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset • Proven record of developing leaders and promoting from within Company Profile: Lipari Foods is a regional full-line deli, bakery, packaging, and grocery distributor, headquartered in Warren, MI.
