We are looking for a talented Equipment Validation Supervisor who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Company’s Equipment Validation Team to establish goals, strategies, plans and policies for the business unit. This position will direct and develop members of the Equipment Validation Teams to increase efficiency, accuracy, and technical capability of the equipment validation process in support of the necessary financial and timing constraints to drive LINK business success. Main Responsibilities: • Supervise and execute innovative machine validation techniques and strategies. • Responsible for machine checkout documentation, proper calibration, shake-down testing, customer testing, and data review and report preparation. • Continually assess the cost (hours) and timing for all machine checkouts to ensure they meet project deliverables. Ensure technicians are aligned on the scope boundaries. Work with project management on assessing the discrepancies and developing recovery plans. • Provide guidance for technicians on performing in-house start-up and calibration, facilitating customer visits, and perform initial field commissioning. • Mentor the Equipment Validation technicians and develop training modules to ensure all technicians are continually advancing in their knowledge and capability. • Provide project updates to the status and issues related to machine performance and timing. • Maintain employee work schedules, assignments, balanced workload, documented training, vacations and time off, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling. • Monitor and maintain balanced workload ensuring tasks are met per the allotted time frame meeting internal and external customer requirements. • Ensure team and individual goals are reviewed and discussed on a regular cadence. • Work with team and others in the organization to accomplish team and individual goals. • Measure, monitor, and drive improvement on customer satisfaction scores within assigned area. • Responsible for Talent Management processes within assigned area. This includes but is not limited to: strategic resource reviews, performance management, succession planning, compensation processes and maintaining adequate staffing levels per business needs. • Responsible for Training and Development initiatives within assigned areas: coordination and execution of Individual Development Plans and associated training/development assignments. • Drive a continuous improvement culture within your team documenting, recommending and implementing improvement opportunities through our quality system. • Own the hiring and termination process and maintain adequate staffing levels. • Responsible for submitting an accurate labor ticket daily. • Responsible for ensuring all direct reports submit their labor tickets daily. • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical business practices along with all company policies. • Ensure adherence to the LINK quality process and procedures. • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment. • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job. • Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability. Qualifications: • Minimum of 7 years of applicable work experience related to test equipment • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading or supervising • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or Certificate in Electronics preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Demonstrated experience being highly motivated and self-directed. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong technical background and working familiarity of electrical, mechanical, and software integration Strong understanding of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Experience with ERP software (Epicor preferred) • Solid technical troubleshooting skills (Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, etc.) • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing timely customer service. • Working knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and related testing tools • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements: • Ability to speak verbally, and read in English • Ability to walk. • Ability to see with corrective lenses. • Ability to hear. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. • Ability to use a computer. • Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required. • Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
