Description/Job Summary Lindahl Reed is hiring a Director Infrastructure Programs with extensive real property, facility, and built infrastructure management experience to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects for government and commercial clients. This role requires a seasoned professional who can leverage leadership experience, technical engineering expertise, and project management excellence to deliver high-impact solutions in challenging operational environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, building client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams. Initial assignment will be in support of the United States Coast Guard and a significant build-out of infrastructure across the nation. Projects include all facets of shore infrastructure in support of cutter and boat acquisitions and increasing mission demands among the Coast Guard’s statutory missions. As Director, you will be responsible for understanding project requirements and monitoring progress towards achieving project requirements while balancing risks and cost-performance tradeoffs. You will work with a cross-functional team of government and contractor personnel to facilitate the development of high-performing teams leading to project success under accelerated timelines. Position Responsibilities Project Leadership & Management • Monitor complex, multi-million-dollar projects through all phases of project execution from initiation through completion. • Support development of comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies • Track project portfolios with varying technical complexity and stakeholder requirements across the nation • Audit projects to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met Client Relationship Management • Serve as a client interface along with the project and program managers for assigned projects and accounts • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and industry executives • Lead client presentations, status briefings, and strategic planning sessions • Identify opportunities for contract modifications and change orders that lead to project success, and follow-on work • Manage client expectations and resolve complex project/programmatic issues Team Leadership & Development • Advise multidisciplinary teams of engineers, analysts, and technical specialists • Mentor junior project managers and technical staff • Foster collaborative team environment and high-performance culture • Conduct performance evaluations of task leads • Interface with senior leadership on resource allocation and strategic planning Business Development Support • Support proposal development and capture activities • Provide technical and programmatic input for competitive bids • Participate in client meetings and capability presentations • Contribute to market intelligence and opportunity identification • Support pricing strategies and teaming arrangements Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Military or Civilian Government Experience • Minimum 10 years U.S. Coast Guard experience required • Senior-level leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibilities • Have executive decision-making expertise overseeing execution of programs, budget, and personnel • Experience with USCG operations, regulations, and organizational structure required • Knowledge of Department of Homeland Security policies and procedures • Understanding of federal acquisition processes and government contracting Engineering Background • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or related field) • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred • 15+ years combined military and civilian experience managing construction projects, preparing engineering plans and specifications, design engineering work, asset and program management, or similar. • Experience with maritime infrastructure projects • Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and best practices Project Management Expertise • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equal required • Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $5M in value • Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies • Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheets) • Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget By applying for remote, you are able to set up your own ergonomic work environment.
