The Events Manager will lead the development, execution, and optimization of Lightcast’s event strategy. You’ll bring structure and strategic intent to our event investments—building scalable processes, defining tiered event frameworks, ensuring alignment to marketing and sales goals, and driving measurable ROI. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable with strategy and execution: able to analyze data, build budgets, and create playbooks—while also rolling up their sleeves to manage logistics, messaging, and onsite experience. \n Major Responsibilities: Partner with the head of demand generation to audit and analyze the current event portfolio, including cost, audience, attendance, and business outcomes. Develop a tiered event strategy (flagship, regional, vertical, virtual) with clear prioritization and ROI measures. Identify and recommend high-impact events aligned with company goals and ideal customer profiles. Collaborate with GTM teams to ensure event strategy supports both pipeline generation and brand objectives. Build repeatable event processes and playbooks for consistent execution. Create an event request and approval process to align new opportunities with business priorities. Define workflows for logistics, creative, content, and enablement support. Establish a central repository for event assets, vendor lists, and performance history. Develop and manage detailed event budgets by tier, accounting for sponsorships, production, travel, and materials. Track expenses, ensure accurate forecasting and reporting, and evaluate cost-effectiveness. Recommend budget optimizations to maximize ROI. Oversee end-to-end execution of Lightcast events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, logistics, and onsite management. Partner with content and creative teams to align event messaging and deliverables. Collaborate with sales and customer success to drive engagement before, during, and after events. Standardize lead capture and Salesforce integration for consistent and reliable data flow. Track engagement through the sales cycle to assess event impact on pipeline and revenue. Conduct post-event analysis on attendance, leads, conversions, and ROI. Maintain a historical record of event performance to inform future strategy. Support the creation and management of a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) program. Coordinate curated, high-impact CAB experiences with senior leaders from top customer accounts. Partner cross-functionally to gather insights that strengthen customer engagement and loyalty. Education & Experience: 5+ years of experience managing B2B marketing events (preferably in SaaS, data, or technology industries). Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale and regional events end-to-end. Strong analytical skills—comfortable building budgets, measuring ROI, and making data-driven decisions. Exceptional project management, communication, and vendor negotiation skills. Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation, and event management tools. Strategic thinker who can balance creativity with operational excellence.
