About the Creative Serving team: The Creative Serving team maintains and operates mission critical systems involved in every ad serving across Liftoff’s product line. Our systems are foundational and fundamental for Liftoff to function and thrive. As a senior staff engineer, you will build and maintain deep, strategic integration with our partner exchanges, assure impeccable uptime and drive cost effective content delivery world-wide. This includes close collaboration with our internal Vungle Exchange and SDK to help enable Liftoff Exclusive advertising capabilities. As a senior member of the staff, you will also be a critical part of championing engineering culture, as well partnerships with commercial and product teams. We will look to you to provide critical input to team and company wide architectural planning and roadmap to face the dynamic ad tech ecosystem. Your specific responsibilities will include: Responsibilities: Co-own the real time ad serving architecture with other senior engineers. Proven track record in owning and evolving large backend systems by setting vision and successfully executing with a team to achieve it. Work cross-functionally to define requirements and plot a long term roadmap for our systems. Continuously optimize and streamline our ad serving infrastructure to assure up time, visibility, and cost effectiveness. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes that affect the entire tech stack. Help define and improve coding standards, development processes and best practices Lead and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. Help shape our long-term Creative Serving strategy and roadmap. Requirements: Deep coding ability in GoLang, JavaScript and TypeScript are required. Clojure would be a bonus. Understanding of various ad formats (e.g., display, video, native) and technologies like VAST, VPAID, and MRAID. Experience with video compression and streaming via CDNs. Prior experience with mission critical systems. Preferably creative serving in the ad-tech space. Deep knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, real time bidding (RTB) protocol. 8+ years of industry experience. Good communicator, empathetic and attentive listener. Location: This role is eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York City. Travel Expectations: We offer several opportunities for in-person team gatherings, including but not limited to project meetings, regional meetups, and company-wide events. Compensation: Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate's location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role: SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County, Seattle: $225,000 - $250,000 All other California and Washington state locations, Austin, Boston, Denver, Portland: $207,000 - $230,000 All other cities and towns in our approved states: $193,500 - $215,000 #LI-NM1 #LI-Remote We use Covey as part of our hiring and/or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT.
