ROLE OVERVIEW LifeStance is seeking a visionary and highly skilled National Clinical Director of Research to lead our national research strategy and foster a culture of clinical innovation. This role will be responsible for: · Driving research innovation by identifying, developing, and integrating novel treatment approaches and interdisciplinary methods to advance patient care and clinical outcomes. · Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with universities, hospitals, and community organizations to strengthen research collaborations, enhance community impact, and secure potential funding opportunities. · Overseeing the dissemination of research findings through peer-reviewed publications, white papers, and national conference presentations, ensuring LifeStance’s research contributes meaningfully to the broader scientific and clinical community. Compensation: $132,000 - 160,000/annually, plus annual bonus potential Key Responsibilities · Meet established annual research output goals, such as preparing and submitting 2–3 peer-reviewed manuscripts in the first year, by rapidly assessing existing data, building research pipelines, and initiating high-quality projects immediately upon onboarding. · Rapidly synthesize and analyze large volumes of EHR-derived and real-world clinical data, converting complex datasets into feasible, publication-ready research questions and appropriately scaled study designs that can yield early wins for the organization. · Function as a hands-on, lead contributor, particularly in the first 1–2 years, by driving manuscript development from concept through submission, ensuring first- or senior-author–level ownership of key projects rather than solely participating in large collaborative publications. · Develop and manage partnerships with external research entities, including universities, research organizations, and funding agencies. · Lead and oversee the design, execution, and dissemination of clinical research studies, including multi-site trials and quality improvement research. · Identify and pursue grant funding opportunities (e.g., PCORI, NIH) to support research initiatives; lead or contribute to grant writing and submission processes. · Oversee research staff, including part-time researchers and research assistants, ensuring productivity, high-quality deliverables, and professional development. · Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and IRB requirements for all research activities. · Present research findings to internal and external audiences, including national conferences, publications, and stakeholder meetings.
