LifeSpan medicine is seeking a highly organized and strategic Research Manager to identify, evaluate, and manage referral provider relationships and out network. This individual will be responsible for building a curated ecosystem of external specialists, clinics, and service providers that align with LifeSpan’s standards of clinical excellence and luxury concierge care. The role combines research, relationship management, and process oversight to ensure our clients have seamless access to trusted partners in all domains of health and longevity. Key Responsibilities Research & Provider Identification • Conduct ongoing market research to identify top specialists, clinics, and service providers (local, national, and international) across key specialties (cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, advanced diagnostics, regenerative medicine, etc.). • Evaluate referral providers based on clinical quality, outcomes data, reputation, patient experience, and brand alignment with LSM. • Monitor new providers and specialists, emerging technologies, and cutting-edge practices in specialty areas to expand our network. Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with referral providers and their offices. Make logistical arrangements • Serve as the primary point of contact between LifeSpan and referral partners. • Coordinate introductions and facilitate smooth referral pathways for patients, ensuring a “white-glove” client experience. • Track and report on provider responsiveness, communication quality, and client satisfaction with referrals. Process Development & Oversight • Create and maintain a structured database of approved referral providers, updated regularly with credentials, specialties, and contact details. • Develop standardized evaluation and onboarding protocols for new providers. • Implement feedback loops from physicians, staff, and clients to continuously refine the referral network. • Collaborate with clinical staff, patient services, and operations to ensure seamless integration of referral pathways into daily workflows. • Monitor work performance of referral team and referral process. Ensure referrals are completed based on practice timeline and standards are met. Strategic Contribution • Anticipate patient needs by proactively expanding referral networks into emerging specialty areas (e.g., psychiatry/psychology, advanced imaging, neurology, etc.). • Support business development by identifying potential strategic partnerships, co-branded services, or cross-referral opportunities. • Provide quarterly insights on referral network performance, gaps, and growth opportunities. Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, life sciences, public health, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in healthcare research, provider relations, or referral management. • Strong understanding of healthcare networks, specialist practices, and medical quality indicators. • Ability to work quickly and support expedited visits and arrangements for clients. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with high-level physicians and clinics. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field. • Experience in concierge medicine, luxury healthcare, or high-touch patient service environments.
