Schedule: Monday through Friday either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM No previous experience in behavioral health services? No problem! We'll provide you the training you need. What you’ll do: Understands and models the philosophy of the art program. Takes a person centered (individualized) approach toward the individuals who participate in the art program. Objectively demonstrates artistic techniques to individuals clearly and precisely. Offers objective advice and mentoring to enable individuals to complete work. Ensures enough high quality art is produced to stock quarterly art shows. Assists in preparation of artwork for sales (matting framing etc.). Attends evening and weekend events as required. Assists in developing community contacts with artists, galleries, etc. Engages individuals in community activities (including Community Pottery program) and transports them as required. Photographs and archives artist’s work. Keeps records of all art sales. Networks with a diverse section of the community. Works a flexible schedule, as required. Organizes and inventories materials in the art studio. Purchases materials as needed. Develops sound and creative ideas under limited supervision. Demonstrates willingness and ability to gain new skills. Qualifications What you need: Must be at least 18 years of age Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of two consecutive years Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check Pass driving record check if providing transportation Associates degree in arts related field or combination of relevant education/experience required for this position. Must have a strong personal portfolio and demonstrate a successful track record of working in an arts related field. Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required. If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.
