More about our team The Director Provider Resources is responsible for educating, monitoring locums tenens scheduling, re-quest, approval and timecard oversight processes. Additionally, the position will manage a pool of employed and contracted providers available to meet needs at other facilities. This position collaborates closely with HSC Acute and Medical Group Services leadership, market leadership, vendors or partners to ensure optimized utilization of employed, contracted and locums' providers for managing coverage gaps and call schedules How you'll contribute A Director Provider Resources who excels in this role: • Ensure adherence to guidelines, processes and policies related to the use of locum tenens • Negotiate best structure and rate to cover the identified need • Evaluate and present alternative coverage models for the market to determine suitability • Manage access to locum tenens platform for users • Train all users of the locum tenens platform • Review all timecards auto approved for adherence to terms of assignment and required documentation. • Audit random approved timecards to accuracy and documentation. • Educate all authorized users about the request for assignment process • Validate all on call schedules are in place for a rolling six months and twelve months for holidays • Ensure payor enrollment or billing process in place for all providers • Review master on call and clinic schedule to ensure appropriate assignment description is aligned with need • Coordinate with facilities increase or decrease the amount of necessary locum staffing based on changes with resources at the facility • Communicate regularly with facilities regarding assignments and issues • Assure all shifts are filled to meet facility requirements • Manage pool of employed and contracted providers available to cover shifts • Provide reports related to utilization of physician resources and opportunities for more efficient • Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. What we're looking for Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in business or related healthcare field required with 10 yrs previous experience working in scheduling providers or managing providers. Additional requirements include: Certifications: CMPE preferred SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions.
