This industry is highly regulated and a little dry. But the compensation is crazy. That’s the trade-off. You’ll be helping families with life insurance, which doesn’t exactly scream party time, but you’ll also have the chance to make more than most people think is possible. What you’ll actually be doing (no fluff): • You’ll get warm leads. No cold calling, door-knocking, or bugging your friends. • You’ll call those leads, set appointments, and walk through a simple 15-minute presentation. • You’ll ask some questions, figure out what people need, and help them apply for coverage. • That’s pretty much it. Who this works for (and who it doesn’t): • Works for people with grit, work ethic, and a willingness to learn. • Doesn’t work if you need someone to hold your hand every step of the way. • Works for self-starters who like flexible hours and working from home. • Doesn’t work if you’re allergic to picking up the phone. The truth about the position: • It’s commission-only. (If that scares you, stop reading now.) • You’ll need a computer, a phone, and a decent internet connection. • Hours are flexible—translation: you can work as much or as little as you want, but your paycheck will reflect it. • Compensation includes upfront pay, renewals, overrides, and random bonuses—so it can snowball over time. • Perfect as a side hustle at first, but many transition to full-time when they realize the upside.
