Otherwise, this role is remote. Join Liberty Mutual’s dynamic Finance Transformation & Solutions Team as a Sr Business Analyst! In this role, you’ll be working with the Reinsurance Accounting and Operations team and the Global Finance Technology teams to analyze and solve complex problems. This is an opportunity to leverage your financial insurance expertise and critical thinking to help drive our Reinsurance and USRM initiatives forward. This role is a great introduction and first step to becoming a Product Owner and gaining a deeper understanding of our reinsurance and technology landscape. Working with the Business teams, IT and the newly formed Finance Data Office, this individual performs analysis of source data and the review of the financial data that will be passed to downstream Reinsurance systems and reporting processes. Responsibilities: Under limited direction, reviews specifications from upstream teams and their systems. Working closely with the Product Owners, develops requirements for changes to landscape of reinsurance systems, understanding the nuances of the different applications. Performs/directs iterative solution testing to ensure requirements are met. Performs/directs regression testing to ensure new changes are enabled and existing functionality is maintained. Works with the reinsurance business team to ensure that the parameters on the applicable contracts are updated where required Develops and provides training on changes to the processes from receipt of the data through the attach and calculate phase and output to the GL and reporting systems Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or related discipline. P&C Insurance experience required' Reinsurance experience desired Experience translating business requirements into technical stories for IT Displays strong research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills. Solid ability to support change and impart value within an organization. Solid project management skills as part of implementing business process changes. Strong knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings. Advanced knowledge of Excel and solid knowledge of database software. Solid knowledge of business intelligence tools preferred. Experience working in an agile environment preferred.
