Description The Telematics Product Design & Experience team within USRM is seeking a talented and motivate individual to join our group as our Mileage Design Lead (RAM). The Telematics Design and Experience team mission involves optimizing our current Auto product features, testing new offerings, and exploring transformative solutions through product research. To be an effective product design and experience leader, an ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to think strategically about how to balance competing perspectives of pricing, sales, service, and economic considerations. This role seeks to help provide superior pricing capabilities enabled by best-in-class customer experiences. As a Design lead, you will be responsible for researching what we put into market, recommending product introductions and enhancements and be responsible for ensuring that product performance meets or exceeds expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including USDS, Delivery, Sales and Service to ensure that our telematics products meet the needs of our customers and the market. We are looking for a candidate that is able to demonstrate the following: Possess strong leadership skills, comfortable making challenging prioritization decisions and influencing teammates in a complex cross-functional environment Effectively collaborate and communicate to develop creative solutions, gaining buy-in and alignment with the organization Successfully balance various tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting or competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment Has a roll-up your sleeves and get things done mentality, readily challenging existing processes and passionately digging in to identify issues and find solutions early Are self-driven, have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow-through Excel in ambiguous situations and finds uncertainty fun Approach strategic analysis with an unbiased mindset, can empathize with customers, partners, and competitors and make thoughtful, data-driven recommendation Are comfortable facilitating conversations with strategic partners and key internal and external stakeholders/vendors Product design with an insurance carrier is preferred. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute product strategy for Mileage products and solution Manage and lead moderate to high complexity product analyses across multiple product offerings and functional areas Initiate and participate in solution brainstorming exercises leveraging expertise from external offerings and partners within Product & key functional areas Conduct research of competitive environment and disruptive new entrants of telematics product offerings Provide leadership, direction, and vision to cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches Communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders regularly Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 6 years relevant work experience, typically 8 years PhD or equivalent research beneficial Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem) Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision making, communication, and project management skills Experience managing projects preferred About Us Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
