Description As the Head of Account Management and Creative Strategy, you'll be a part of Liberty Mutual's in-house agency, Copper Giants (CG) In this newly developed role, the Head of Account and Creative Strategy will be a key contributor and member of the CG leadership team. The primary objective for this role is to serve as the critical link between CG and our internal Marketing Business Partners (BPs)/external clients. This role will have high visibility amongst senior stakeholders of the LMI organization, so it is imperative that this individual feels comfortable navigating a highly matrixed organization and is able to lead through direct and in-direct influence. This individual must be equal parts a strategic business partner and keen relationship builder, able to ensure the highest level of service delivery and drive growth for the CG team. This role requires flexibility and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges. You'll need to have the ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on. You'll also be required to travel to our Boston office for some quarterly team meetings, in-person creative presentations and Marketing Department meetings. Here are some of the things you'll do: Account Management and Operations: • Lead Copper Giants Account Management and the relationship with our internal and external stakeholders responsible for the overall health of the relationship between these stakeholders and business partners. • Build and maintain strong relationships with all Marketing stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient partnerships for all Liberty work supported by CG • Steer strategic conversations for all projects under CG's responsibility in alignment of stakeholder objectives and requirements to translate into creative assets • Act as the primary point of contact for all CG communications with business partners and external clients, leading and facilitating weekly status meetings in partnership with Project Managers and Producers as well as driving quarterly planning efforts in collaboration with CG and stakeholders • Partner with Project Managers, Production and Creative to assess project results and ensure all initiatives meet or exceed established goals • Foster accountability and open communication with Project Managers, Producers and Creative throughout the project lifecycle • Act on agency surveys related to customer satisfaction and provide feedback to improve service delivery and relationships with partners (internal and external) • Manage the workings of our external clients through Copper Giants LLC, overseeing new business efforts and maintaining client satisfaction • Lead retrospective discussions with appropriate stakeholders and provide summary of learnings and actionable next steps to department leadership Business and Creative Strategy: • Develop a deep understanding of BP goals and collaborate with Creative Strategists to ensure tailored and connected holistic marketing strategies that achieve desired outcomes • Remain apprised of industry, customer, and competitor insights and trends to support strategy • Translate company business objectives into creative strategy to help drive key business KPIs • Partner with Strategy and Media Leads to ensure all creative output is aligned to defined business objectives, accounts for allowable spend, and strengthens brand health • The success of this role will be highly dependent on being able to balance business savvy with strong creative sensibilities, demonstrating a strong marketing acumen, and collaborating with critical stakeholders • This is both a right and left brained role. We need someone who is comfortable with data, analytics, creativity, and an advertising strategy which is compelling on both emotional and functional levels New Business Development: • Support the development and execution of strategies to expand the agency's client base and revenue streams • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the organization and externally when relevant • Assist in new business development by crafting compelling proposals and presentations • Collaborate with the Managing Director and peers on the leadership team to set and achieve revenue targets • Ensure effective and efficient client onboarding by continuously evolving practices based on learnings of existing/past client engagements. You also have: • Experience in account management within a creative agency or marketing environment, with leadership experience • Proven track record of building and maintaining high-value client relationships and influencing at all levels • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse teams • Experience in budget management and understanding client needs • Must possess exceptional marketing strategy fundamentals, including expertise in brand planning, positioning, market research, and brand storytelling • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans for creative thinkers • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and provide strategic counsel across a matrixed organization • Highly proactive, organized, and adaptable leader with shown success leading cross functional groups, achieving success through collaboration • A strong understanding of content production across multiple mediums (Broadcast, Social, Digital, Experiential) • Ability to gather & interpret relevant data to craft effective creative strategies and marketing campaigns. • Skilled in development & activation of impactful and collaborative partnerships • Ability to effectively story-tell key influencers and decision-makers at all levels • Must be a collaborative change agent and relationship builder across functions and personalities • Well-versed in best-in-class creative & brand marketing technologies, processes, and trends. • Excellent cultivator of talent with ability to strengthen, grow, and develop marketeers at all levels • Experienced in servant leadership with ability to cultivate collaborative, connected, & driven teams • Superior problem-solving, analytical thinking and logic • Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to build relationships, establish rapport, drive consensus, & drive adoption with internal/external customer groups and all levels • Exceptional project & change management skills, leading cross-functional teams to execute • Ability to effectively continuously prioritize (& re-prioritize) work Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in an advertising agency and/or in-house creative agency • Experience in a highly regulated industry, inclusive of insurance or financial services • Strong experience in new business acquisition, including pitching and negotiation Qualifications • Bachelor`s degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications preferred or equivalent experience required • MBA preferred • Minimum 8 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within a marketing-driven organization • Understanding of customer segmentation and management techniques, as well as the business and products supported and the regulations impacting them • Requires advanced working knowledge of all marketing areas and the ability to integrate them • Strong analytical, collaboration, organization, and presentation skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities required • Strong detail orientation • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies • Strong project management experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required • Prior advertising agency experience preferred • Proactively seeks to apply new tactics and job skills to enhance current role, educate colleagues, and improve broader team`s performance • Demonstrates understanding of internal organization and marketing impact on broader organization • Leverages multiple sources of data in development and day to day work, triangulates data sources, effectively anticipates others questions and concerns on a given topic About Us Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
