## Key Role Overview Operate heavy equipment and haul trucks to move and deposit rock products at intake crushing and screening sites. The role focuses on safe, timely transportation of loads, preventive maintenance of equipment, and adherence to safety and quality procedures (including SQF/Safe Food requirements). The position requires Class A or B CDL eligibility, flexibility for shift work and overtime, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. ## Key Responsibilities - Safely operate mobile equipment including wheel loaders, haul trucks, scrapers, front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, and crushers. - Drive/operate heavy equipment vehicles to move rock products to selected intake crushing/screening sites and deposit loads into intake areas. - Perform pre-shift inspections on assigned vehicles and equipment, report or repair items found, and submit inspections to the Plant Operator. - Fuel equipment as needed and properly log all fuel usage. - Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment as needed: check and top off fluids, lubricate (grease), and perform tire maintenance (pressure and visual inspection). - Follow company policies, the Nolanville mine plan, all state and federal laws, and attend scheduled safety meetings. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment; promote safety among co-workers using Behavior - Based Safety (BBS) and follow lockout/tagout procedures. - Follow directions for dumping mined ore in designated locations, report deviations affecting product quality or processing efficiency, weigh trucks and properly log material weights as required (SQF). - Participate in the facility’s Safe Food initiative based on FSMA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices. ## Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED. - Possess and fulfill requirements for a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). - Self-motivated and able to work independently. - Working knowledge of state and federal laws related to operation of heavy vehicles and detailed understanding of over-the-road heavy truck operation and safety requirements. - Ability to work shift work, overtime, seven days, or holidays as needed; be flexible to schedule changes and available for call-outs; have a telephone for contact. - Able to lift over 50 pounds and meet the physical demands of the role. - Demonstrated history of safe vehicle operation as shown on driving record. ## Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated heavy equipment operation skills (e.g., front-end loaders, skid steer, crushers) are a plus. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not specified in posting; company states it offers a very competitive salary package. - Key benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; vacation; disability insurance; 401(k) retirement savings options with employer match; and Educational Assistance for continued development. ## Additional Information - On-site work at the Nolanville, Texas location with exposure to outdoor severe weather, high temperatures, limestone, noise, and dust. - Access to all areas within the site may include heights up to 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. - Work schedule may include shift work seven days a week including holidays; must be open to overtime and call-outs. - Lhoist North America is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and does not discriminate based on protected characteristics.
