Manage complex litigation matters including class action defense, securities, and consumer litigation, handling all phases from investigation to court appearances.
JD degree, Illinois bar admission, 1+ years litigation experience in a large law firm, excellent research, writing, communication, and strong analytical skills.
I am currently working with a leading boutique litigation firm, who are actively looking to recruit a litigation attorney to join their Chicago office. Responsibilities: • This role will manage class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters. • Handle fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions and participating in mediations. • Communicate with opposing counsel and clients. • Appear in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top tier accredited law school. • Admitted to the Illinois state bar. • 1+ years of litigation experience - ideally gained in a large law firm setting. • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
