Docketing Specialist Location: California - Remote (Must be able to work California hours) Pay Rate and Benefits: $35 to $45 per hour Position Type: Full-time, Remote, Contract or Contract to Hire LHH is currently seeking an experienced Docketing Specialist to support a Los Angeles-based law firm. This remote position requires availability during California business hours and a strong background in California litigation docketing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of court procedures and calendaring systems, and be highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Provide litigation docketing support for California state and federal court cases • Calculate and track critical deadlines based on court rules and procedures • Retrieve and file legal documents using electronic filing systems • Maintain and update docketing databases and calendars using rules-based calendaring software • Monitor court rules and ensure compliance with filing deadlines • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure accurate scheduling and deadline management • Generate reports and reminders for upcoming deadlines and court appearances • Assist with document management and organization related to litigation matters Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of litigation docketing experience, specifically in California • Strong understanding of California state and federal court procedures, including electronic filing systems • Proficiency in rules-based calendaring software (e.g., CompuLaw, ProLaw, or similar) • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel • Familiarity with federal, state, and local court systems • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines • High level of professionalism and discretion Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
