Corporate Controller (Remote in Nashville, TN) Location: Nashville, TN (Remote - Candidates must reside in the Greater Nashville area) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 + bonus opportunity Position Summary Our client is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee financial reporting, treasury activities, audit management, internal controls, and accounting process improvements. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple business units. • Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and liquidity controls. • Ensure compliance with GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting. • Manage external audits, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and audit readiness activities. • Support acquisitions and business integrations, including opening balance sheets, system implementations, and accounting process standardization. • Partner with operational leadership to improve working capital performance and cash flow. • Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a decentralized, multi-location environment. • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement. • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and leadership discussions that support organizational growth. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 10-15 years of public and/or private accounting experience in construction (or other project-based accounting industries) • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and percentage-of-completion accounting. • Experience managing accounting operations in a multi-entity environment. • Must reside in the Greater Nashville, TN area. Preferred Qualifications • CPA designation or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems. • Background supporting acquisitions, mergers, or business integration efforts. • Experience managing banking relationships and treasury functions. • Proven ability to build scalable accounting processes and controls.
