Job Title: Construction Litigation Paralegal Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Recruitment Agency: [Insert Agency Name] Employer: Law Firm Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base salary About the Role Our client, a reputable law firm in Chicago, is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting attorneys in complex construction-related litigation matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, and project documentation. Key Responsibilities • Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, and responses. • Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and trial preparation materials. • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review. • Assist with document production and e-discovery processes. • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trial logistics. • Communicate with clients, experts, and vendors regarding case progress. • Maintain accurate case calendars and deadlines. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal certificate preferred. • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on construction law highly preferred. • Strong knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and litigation processes. • Proficiency in case management and e-discovery platforms. • Exceptional organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Additional Information: Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
