Full Description

A leading global manufacturer specializing in Factory Automation (FA) systems, precision components, and fabrication solutions across North America is currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer. Job Summary: The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s industrial equipment and automation solutions to customers in manufacturing, automotive, and related industries. This position requires technical product knowledge, relationship-building ability, and a results-driven sales approach. The role includes both account management and new business development within the assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Promote and sell industrial equipment, including machinery, automation systems, and components • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to demonstrate product benefits and applications • Identify customer needs and propose tailored technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and industry partners • Analyze market trends and competitor activity; provide strategic feedback to management • Respond to RFQs, prepare proposals, and negotiate terms to close sales • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and customer demonstrations • Coordinate with logistics and service teams to ensure smooth delivery and after-sales support • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using CRM tools • Travel to customer sites and industry events (approximately 30–50%) Qualifications Required: • 5–8 years of sales experience in industrial equipment, machinery, or related B2B sectors • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills • Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and industrial applications Preferred: • Experience working in multinational environments or with global suppliers • Japanese language proficiency (for communication with overseas headquarters and suppliers) • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and factory environments • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Benefits • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance (100% employer-paid premium for employees) • 401(k) with 6% company match • Approximately 15 company holidays per year • 15 days of PTO starting from the first year • Biweekly payroll Working Conditions • Monday through Friday • Remote work flexibility available; however, candidates must reside in Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky as clients are located within those state • Travel required: 30–50%
