We are seeking a seasoned and relationship-focused Senior Business Development Manager to join our client’s high-performing Sales team. This role is designed for experienced sales professionals who excel in consultative selling, strategic networking, and long-term client development. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, expanding referral channels, and supporting the development of junior sales staff. You will serve as both a revenue generator and a team mentor, helping to shape our client’s sales strategy while delivering outstanding results through relationship-driven business development. Responsibilities: • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic relationships to generate high-quality referral-based opportunities. • Lead client-facing discovery meetings, sales presentations, and proposal development for new and existing opportunities including those sourced by Junior and Commercial Associates (merit-based). • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and project execution. • Serve as a mentor and advisor to Junior Associates, Commercial Associates, and Business Developers — providing training, feedback, and deal support. • Develop and execute strategic outreach and networking initiatives to engage new business partners and industry influencers. • Represent our client at relevant events, conferences, and networking functions to build the firm’s presence and reputation. • Track and manage all pipeline activity and client engagement using the company CRM system. • Partner with sales leadership to refine processes, improve messaging, and contribute to revenue planning efforts. • Meet and exceed individual revenue targets while supporting broader team performance. Experience & Qualifications: • Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, or client relationship management roles. • Proven ability to drive revenue through strategic networking and referral partnerships. • Demonstrated success leading high-level sales conversations with executives and key stakeholders. • Experience mentoring or managing junior sales professionals strongly preferred. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and relationship management expertise. • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and virtual communication platforms. • A background in consulting, financial services, or professional services is strongly preferred.
