Job Duties Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring validation protocols to ensure internal and external safety and quality requirements for highly regulated industries including medical device and pharmaceutical testing. Maintain compliance at all stages of testing, including document testing and production protocols. Create test protocols, improve workflow efficiency and ensure technical feasibility of lab testing procedures. Periodically assess testing documentation addressing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods. Conduct data analysis of lab testing results to inform lab equipment qualification, lab test method research and validation, and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) processes. Recommend solutions of identified deviations from DDL’s defined validation production standards. Assist in training internal staff on validation protocols and DDL’s operating procedures. Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum Experience Required Three (3) years of experience in validation engineering. Prior experience must include two (2) years in/with: managing medical device testing projects; lab test method research, validation, and implementation; troubleshooting lab testing equipment; creating lab testing standard operating procedures (SOPs), including ISO 80369, ISO 7864, ISO 11040, and ISO 10555; project management in a lab testing environment, including requirements gathering, test method planning, test method development and execution, and quality review; lab fixture design and creation; preparing test documentation and training technicians on lab testing procedures. May work remotely full-time from anywhere in the United States. M-F, 40 hours/week.
