Description Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Sr Manager, Operations (AMZ8125.15) (multiple positions available) Location: Seattle, WA. Relocation to various unanticipated Amazon sites throughout the U.S. may be required. Multiple Positions Available • Manage budgetary, people development and operations objectives within the Fulfillment Center. • Oversee aspects of operation or functions at the site. • Managing and lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach and mentor the team to ensure performance objectives are met, build positive employee relations and build leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. • Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan. • Oversee overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. • Leverage the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. • Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network. • Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. • Supervise 4 Operations Managers. • Domestic travel required up to 15% of time. • Relocation to various unanticipated Amazon sites throughout the U.S. may be required - Amazon will pay relocation expense. Experience must include 2 years of experience in the following skills: • management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment. • experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques. • experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination. Travel: Domestic travel required up to 15% of time. The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $149,796/year to $182,700/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
