This is a backend-focused engineering role with opportunities to work on greenfield projects, building and integrating backend API services for a website platform managing RV inventory. The role is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates near Chicago, IL, and offers a flexible, high-impact environment with strong growth potential. Skills And Requirements Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in backend development. Strong proficiency in Python for backend development. Experience with Azure for infrastructure management. Familiarity with JavaScript (Node.js) for backend services. Role Focus: 80-90% backend development, with minimal frontend responsibilities (10-20% JSX or similar). Soft Skills: Scrappy, flexible, and willing to roll up sleeves in a startup environment; comfortable wearing multiple hats. Experience with e-commerce or retail platforms. Familiarity with load testing tools like Postman or end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright for frontend-backend interactions. Proximity to Chicago, IL, for occasional in-person collaboration (not mandatory).
