About the Role We’re looking for Search Fund and ETA professionals to join Leland as coaches and help the next generation of operators and investors navigate this growing ecosystem. Whether you’ve raised a fund, acquired and operated a business, or invested in search entrepreneurs, you’ll leverage your experience to guide clients through every stage of their journey — from search to acquisition to growth. What You’ll Do • Coach aspiring entrepreneurs through the process of raising capital, sourcing deals, performing diligence, and closing an acquisition. • Provide feedback on investor outreach, thesis development, and financial modeling. • Mentor operators on managing acquired businesses and building value post-acquisition. • Share insights on the ETA landscape, including trends, fundraising dynamics, and lessons learned from your own experience. Ideal Background • 10+ individuals mentored, advised, or coached through ETA, search, or small business acquisition processes. • Experience as a search fund entrepreneur, investor, or operator, or within a fund that supports ETA models. • Strong understanding of fundraising, deal structuring, and operational leadership. • Passion for helping others pursue entrepreneurial paths through acquisition.
