Description Leidos Engineering is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside engineering managers and account managers to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client in Michgan. You will work with be responsible for providing oversight and leadership of an engineering planning program. The Project Manager will be part of Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division that provides consulting services to both public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with overall project management tasks in the areas of comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation and transmission line projects nationwide. As a Leidos employee, you can look forward to career development and growth opportunities, including: • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification • Formal Mentorship programs • Learning & Development Resources • Technical Upskilling programs • Leadership trainings • Responsibilities: • Lead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors - including Engineering, Real Estate, Planning, Surveying, etc, to deliver comprehensive planning projects for electric utility clients. • Take ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management • Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the project portfolio • Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning • Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to support organizational growth • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies • This role is hybrid in nature, however ocassional travel to client sites in Michigan may be required. Background Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferred • Demonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is required • Direct experience working with electric power infrastructure projects • Supervisory experience including team building and talent acquisition • Strong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team development • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to travel periodically as required • Proficiency utilizing MS Project suite with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel (must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel) • Previous experience working with Consumers Energy as a customer is preferred, but not required You Might Also Have: • PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two years • Prior experience in a leadership position • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams • Experience with PowerBI and/or visualization tools • Prior experience as a Planning Engineer or overseeing planning projects or programs We pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
