The Undersea Systems Division (USD) at Leidos is seeking a Production Operations Manager to lead a skilled team on groundbreaking maritime solutions. Your leadership will be essential in streamlining processes that enhance the safety and effectiveness of U.S. maritime operations. Key Responsibilities • Daily Operations: Manage the shop floor activities within our expansive 36k sq ft facility. • EH&S Leadership: Act as the primary partner to the Facility Manager for environmental health and safety initiatives. • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure the upkeep of shop floor equipment, overseeing all maintenance and repair activities for forklifts, cranes, and vehicles. • Space Management: Optimize storage solutions and spearhead floor improvement projects in collaboration with the Facilities Manager and other corporate leaders. • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement productivity and efficiency enhancements. • Technician Support: Provide assistance to a skilled team of technicians using your expertise in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance. Basic Qualifications • High school diploma or an associate degree is preferred. • Solid grasp of general construction and utility systems. • 10+ years of relevant experience. • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). • Familiarity with ISO and 5S methodology. • Strong capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficient problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a technical field. • 5+ years of experience in industrial facility management. • Basic knowledge of construction, manufacturing, and testing. • Familiarity with ISO-9001. • Experience related to U.S. Navy programs and contracts.
