Full Description

Leidos is seeking a Java Developer to support a dynamic application development and operations & maintenance (O&M) project for the IRS. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of developers, analysts, testers, and project managers to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software applications. The role requires full-stack development capabilities, with proficiency in both frontend and backend components, and a strong understanding of microservices and containerization. Must be a US citizen or US person (green card holder) living in the US for at least the last 3 years. Primary Responsibilities: · Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience and meet business requirements. · Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions to support application functionality. · Develop well-structured, reliable, and reusable APIs that enable seamless integration with other services and systems. · Perform unit testing and collaborate closely with the test team to support integration, system, and user acceptance testing, including troubleshooting and bug resolution. · Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to provide technical insights and ensure alignment with project goals. · Foster effective cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure successful software delivery. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 2 + years of Java Development experience. Able to achieve MBI Public Trust clearance. Java IDE (Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio), Maven, Junit / Mockito, JavaScript / React / JQuery, HTML / XM, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Restful Services, Oracle or Mongo experience. Must have experience in Agile. Must have experience with software design patterns. Must have strong analytical skills and be detail-oriented.
