The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) supports the Program Manager in overseeing contract performance and assumes full authority in their absence. This role manages daily operations, collaborates with stakeholders, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant healthcare services. The DPM provides operational oversight to nursing and call center managers, reviews performance metrics, supports clinical and quality improvement activities, and helps refine policies, mitigate risks, and maintain subcontractor and stakeholder relationships. The position also partners with IT to advance telehealth innovations and ensure regulatory compliance, serving as a key link between leadership and frontline teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This job posting is in anticipation of future work. Primary Job Responsibilities: Support Program Management and Contract Oversight Assist the Program Manager in overseeing contract performance. Assume full authority and decision-making responsibility in the PM’s absence. Ensure program goals align with Government requirements and expectations. Manage Daily Operations Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure efficient program delivery. Coordinate with nursing and call center managers to maintain consistent service standards. Monitor workload, staffing, and operational workflows for efficiency. Provide Performance and Quality Oversight Review and analyze service and performance metrics. Support clinical and quality improvement initiatives. Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans. Refine Policies and Mitigate Risk Assist with updating policies, procedures, and operational guidance. Identify potential risks and support the development of mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and program protocols. Manage Stakeholder and Subcontractor Relationships Maintain effective communication with Government stakeholders and partners. Support oversight of subcontractors to ensure compliance and performance. Promote high levels of patient, provider, and customer satisfaction. Advance Telehealth and IT Innovations Collaborate with IT leadership to develop telehealth and nurse triage improvements. Recommend technology-driven strategies to enhance program efficiency and customer experience. Serve as a Key Link Between Leadership and Frontline Teams Facilitate communication across program levels to support alignment and performance. Promote operational excellence, clinical quality, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience, including: 5 years in nursing leadership or supervisory roles. 3 years in call center or virtual triage operations. Clinical supervision and quality assurance experience. Demonstrated expertise in: Program or contract management, including supporting senior leadership, making operational decisions, and ensuring mission objectives are met. Leadership and oversight of multidisciplinary teams (e.g., nursing, call center, QA) to deliver consistent, high-quality services. Supporting clinical and quality assurance operations, monitoring telehealth or clinical program activities, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, incident response protocols) and collaborating with IT, subcontractors, and cross-functional program managers to improve efficiency and mitigate risks. Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms. Must have a private, quiet, and confidential workspace with reliable high-speed internet (coax or fiber from ISP). Hotspots or wireless ISPs are not acceptable. Must be a U.S. citizen, fluent in English, and able to maintain suitability investigation and clearance as required. Preferred Qualifications: URAC accreditation experience Veteran/military retiree and/or military spouse Experience working with and/or for military communities Experience in a Contact Center, military/veteran services, or healthcare environment Come break things (in a good way).
