The National Security Sector technology-enabled services and mission software capabilities for defense and intel customers in the areas of cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics. Are you ready for your next career challenge? The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Data Engineer to work in Honolulu, HI. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the INDOPACOM J2 JIOC mission. In this mission we provide direct intelligence support to all forces assigned to the USINDOPACOM commander. The primary location for this effort is at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii. Other possible locations are: Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; and Ft. Worth, TX. Join a team committed to a Mission! Data Engineer Responsibilities: • Conducting data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis to transform data into narrative products for informed decision-making. • Building AI and ML-based tools to automate processes, such as recommendation engines and lead scoring systems. • Designing and operating data management systems, collaborating with data users to optimize architectures and systems. • Selecting and configuring backend database technologies and optimizing data pipeline infrastructure for intelligence needs. • Implementing automated processes for integrating various datasets, conducting scalable data research, and developing scripts to handle data efficiently. • Collaborating with collection managers and computer scientists to design new data processes and generate algorithms for automated collection strategies. • Evaluating collection criteria and recommending data integration solutions to support the Tasking, Collection, Production, Exploitation, and Dissemination process. • Participating in briefings, meetings, conferences, and working groups to provide advice and resolve issues as requested by the Government. Clearance Required: • Current TS/SCI Clearance. Required Experience, Skills, and Education: • Bachelors degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree). Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education: • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent. • Prior experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics. • Proficiency in data visualization and graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau. • Experience with major data science languages, such as R and Python. • Ability to manage and merge disparate data sources using R, Python, or SQL. • Experience supporting USINDOPACOM.
