Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract. Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineers across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness. Location: These positions will be remote. Candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA) or work in Huntsville, AL. Primary Responsibilities Could Include: We are seeking Cloud Engineers with expertise in multiple cloud platforms. A successful individual will be responsible for developing in a scalable cloud-native solutions, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. This is a hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor. Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and requirements allocation for cloud and hybrid environments. Design, implement, and support scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Support cloud architecture design activities, including evaluation of technical alternatives, cost, risk, and supportability. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Deploy, configure, integrate, and support applications in cloud environments. Assist with containerization and orchestration using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Support cloud environment performance, availability, scalability, and reliability. Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and testing activities. Implement and support security best practices, including identity and access management, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation. Monitor system health and assist with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Support cloud modernization efforts, including migration of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native services. Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and supporting infrastructure components. Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures. Collaborate with developers, operations, security, and customer stakeholders to support solution design and implementation. Coach and provide technical guidance to junior engineers as needed. Follow established engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, and quality assurance processes and standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Secret Security Clearance required U.S. citizenship required. CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II). Hands-on experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI). Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, or DevOps/DevSecOps tools. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development practices. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and version control tools (Git). Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD or USAF cloud environments (e.g., Cloud One, Platform One). Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts and secure cloud architectures. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana. Exposure to container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker. Experience with cloud-based identity solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, IAM). Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
