Full Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a tactical and high-energy Agile Project Manager to support the delivery of our Data Acceleration and AI initiatives ; this position will allow for full time telework from any U.S. based location. POSITION SUMMARY: The Leidos Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is seeking an Agile Project Manager that will report directly to the Agile PM Lead and will serve as the "Scrum Master" and delivery engine for one or more cross-functional technical teams. While the Lead sets the strategic delivery framework, your role is to ensure your squads are executing efficiently, impediments are removed daily, and the JIRA backlog remains healthy and transparent. You will act as the bridge between our technical data architects and business stakeholders, ensuring that complex data initiatives are delivered with velocity and predictability. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Agile Facilitation: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for assigned data/AI squads. Ensure ceremonies are efficient, focused, and result in actionable outcomes. Backlog Management: Partner with Product Owners and the Agile PM Lead to maintain a clean, prioritized JIRA backlog. Ensure user stories meet the "Definition of Ready" before entering sprints. Delivery Execution: Lead end-to-end delivery of data, analytics, and AI initiatives using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid Agile). Own project planning, execution, and tracking, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, and value outcomes. Track and communicate team velocity, burndown, and sprint health and delivery progress. Proactively identify blockers and escalate impediments to the Agile PM Lead or Technical Leads that cannot be resolved at the team level. Support teams and Product Owners in maintaining accurate task tracking in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint. Risk Mitigation: Identify and escalate operational risks such as scope creep, resource constraints, and dependency conflicts to ensure delivery commitments are met. Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical progress into clear status updates for business stakeholders. Assist in preparing data for the Program Dashboards. Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal operations, and engineering teams to help drive decision-making that support organizational goals. Process Adherence: Contribute to the development of playbooks, templates, and operating models for scalable execution. Enforce the standard operating procedures and agile frameworks established by the CDAO leadership. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 8+ years of total experience, with at least 3 years acting as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in a technical environment. Experience working with cross-functional technical teams (data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, platform teams). Tooling Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in JIRA and Confluence. Must be capable of creating dashboards, managing filters, and maintaining complex board configurations. Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical teams and non technical business partners. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, or PMI-ACP required. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. PREFERRED SKILLS: Data/AI Context: Prior experience managing initiatives involving data warehousing, AI or ML, or cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Collibra Servant Leader: Focused on empowering teams and removing impediments rather than directing work Detail-Oriented: High standards for data hygiene and accuracy within JIRA. Resilient: Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high growth, startup like environment within a larger organization At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.” If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in. Original Posting: January 9, 2026 For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. Pay Range: Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
