Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial & Industrial (C&S) Sales Account Manager Power Distribution Systems (Domestic) to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team. This is a remote position. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with a passion for sales/business development and relationship-building in a fast-paced, vibrant market environment. Seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Account Manager to join our team, focusing on diverse C&I verticals such as Retail, Laboratories, Manufacturing, etc. As a Sales Account Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to meet or exceed domestic sales on the Commercial, Laboratories, Retail segments as well as key manufacturing strategic accounts, dealing directly with key stakeholders such as integrators, contractors, electrical distributors, manufacturing reps, engineering firms, etc. What Will You Do? Revenue Goals. Responsible to meet or exceed sales revenue goals. Pipeline. Responsible for driving pipeline funnel growth. Maintain favorable levels based on established KPI’s in alignment with revenue goals. Maintain CRM data, track customer interactions, and provide accurate sales forecasts. Channel Partner Development. Help identify new channel partners to increase C&I network and assist in training and supporting their efforts. Work closely with existing reps and distributors to expand our reach and sales. Sales Reporting. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, and customer interactions. Provide regular updates on sales forecasts and pipeline management for leadership. Cold Calling & Lead Generation. Actively prospect and identify new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector, power distribution, and related industries. This will involve a high volume of cold calling and direct outreach to potential clients. In-Person Sales Visits. Conduct regular in-person visits to manufacturing plants, contractors, and other facilities within your territory to present products, conduct needs assessments, and close sales. Relationship Building. Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites. Understand their needs and provide solutions through our product offerings. Business Development. Work closely with other departments (Services, AE, Marketing, etc) to propose tailored solutions based on customer requirements and new market opportunities. Market Intelligence. Keep track of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to help refine sales strategies and improve product offerings. Inventory Oversight and Forecasting (Retail). Monitor inventory levels across assigned channel partners to meet expectations for target Retail accounts. Ensure product availability based on project demand. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align inventory strategies with sales goals and customer satisfaction targets. Communication. Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, proposals, and quotations. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events. Collaboration. Work closely with the internal team (Sales, Ops, CSS, QA, AE, Marketing, etc) to ensure customer satisfaction, coordinate deliveries, and help resolve any technical or product issues that may arise. Sales Collaboration. Joint efforts with other Legrand divisions and/or business to maximize target accounts’ revenue and market penetration. Teamwork. Willing to assist with additional tasks or responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall business objectives. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience 5+ years of proven experience in sales, preferably in a technical, industrial and/or commercial field (manufacturing, power distribution, electrical systems, etc.) Proven record of progressive responsibility in account management and business development selling electrical systems to facilities Strong experience with channel partner management and/or working with distributors. Proficient in cold calling, prospecting, and conducting in-person sales visits. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on building and nurturing relationships. Ability to work independently and manage assigned sales territory effectively. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and related power distribution needs is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is preferred, but not required. Willingness to travel extensively domestically (internationally occasionally). Travel Required: Up to 50% Benefits: Competitive salary with performance-based commission structure.
