Position Summary Legal Decoder is seeking a Director or VP of Marketing to architect and lead a modern, data-driven marketing function. This is a rare opportunity for a strategic operator who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and legal services. You’ll shape how the market perceives Legal Decoder, build a steady inbound engine to support business development, and create campaigns and content that reinforce our category leadership in legal spend intelligence. This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility across the company — ideal for someone who can pair strategic vision with operational execution. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Leadership • Develop and execute a full-funnel marketing strategy aligned with Legal Decoder’s growth goals. • Partner with the CEO, Sales, and Product teams to align marketing programs with GTM initiatives and client outcomes. • Build and mentor a small, high-performing marketing team over time; manage external partners. • Define KPIs, own the marketing budget, and track and report performance metrics to leadership. Brand & Thought Leadership • Elevate Legal Decoder’s brand as the authority on legal spend intelligence and AI-enabled billing analytics. • Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across web, social, and client communications. • Drive thought leadership through case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and industry awards. • Manage media and analyst relationships to amplify Legal Decoder’s presence and recognition. CRM, Data, and Demand Generation • Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of CRM systems — HubSpot experience strongly preferred. • Manage CRM migrations, integrations, and adoption across teams. • Design and execute email marketing and drip campaigns to nurture prospects and deepen client engagement. • Develop segmentation strategies and analytics frameworks to measure lead quality, funnel performance, and marketing ROI. Content & Campaign Execution • Oversee the creation of impactful content: case studies, blogs, newsletters, event collateral, and videos. • Partner with Sales to develop enablement tools such as decks, one-pagers, and proposal materials. • Manage and continuously improve Legal Decoder’s website and LinkedIn presence. • Coordinate digital campaigns and event participation to drive engagement and pipeline. Qualifications • 7+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience in SAAS, legal services, legal tech, or consulting. • Demonstrated success building or modernizing a marketing function from the ground up. • Expertise with HubSpot CRM, including implementation, migration, and marketing automation workflows. • Hands-on experience designing and managing email marketing and drip campaigns. • Strong grasp of content marketing, analytics, and lead generation best practices. • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills. • Familiarity marketing to law firms, in-house counsel, or ALSPs strongly preferred. • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
