Location:Lee Memorial Hospital -2776 Cleveland AveFort Myers FL 33901 Department: Lab - General Corporate Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$29.55 - $36.93 / hour • *Up to $25,800 in hiring incentives for eligible candidates!** Summary Works in conjunction with the Laboratory Compliance / POCT Manager to develop, oversee, and monitor the LMHS Point of Care Testing (POCT) program. Operates and maintains POCT equipment and other lab equipment assigned. Performs testing, quality control, calibrations and function checks in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in accordance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements. Provides training for nursing and laboratory staff for point of care testing. Serves as a resource for LMHS staff with regard to POCT and safety standards. Investigates and resolves problems concerning POC testing and safety. Actively participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities, and research and development of new procedures. Effectively communicates and provides excellent customer service to nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and other LMHS customers and employees. Maintains and updates POCT and Safety Manuals for assigned locations. Requirements Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/ Preferred and/or Bachelor's Required and Additional Requirements Three or four years formal education or training beyond high school or BS or BA degree required Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required/ Preferred and/or 3 Years Clinical Laboratory Required State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required/ Preferred and/or Medical Technologist License Required Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/Registrations Required/ Preferred and/or US:FL:Fort Myers
