As an Academic Sales Representative, you’ll be speaking with prospective families and students and helping them connect with a great tutor. You’ll be in charge of our industry-unique free-trial process, and will be responsible for guiding interested families through our enrollment process. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the needs of parents and students from Kindergarten through College, and be comfortable and energized having academic-focused conversations over the phone, text, and email. Key Responsibilities Consult with prospective students and families who have requested tutoring services (30–70 calls per day). Guide students through our trial process, helping them connect with our tutors. Handle inbound inquiries for tutoring services quickly and effectively. Accurately and efficiently track customer contacts in our CRM. Coordinate with the Student Success Manager to ensure free trials are executed properly. Follow up with families who have completed a trial session to enroll them in ongoing services. Meet weekly and monthly targets for new trials and enrollments. Demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Strong understanding of education in the U.S. and methods for ensuring student success. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort speaking on the phone is essential. General computer skills—you’ll use Google Suite and VOIP to connect with customers. Familiarity with CRM operations (particularly the Zendesk suite) is a plus but not required. Willingness to dive in, learn quickly, and adapt. Remote, work-from-home setup; a home computer is necessary. A bachelor’s degree is a plus. Who You Are Ambitious and motivated by hitting goals. Time Commitment The schedule for this full-time position is Tuesday to Saturday, from 12 PM to 9 PM Eastern, with Saturday hours from 12 PM to 7 PM Eastern.
