$150K - 250K a year
Lead communications strategy, crisis management, and media relations for large government agencies.
15+ years in communications leadership with government and nonprofit sectors, no direct multi-unit operations or financial management experience.
The Mission We are looking for a high-energy, battle-tested SVP of Operations to lead the charge in scaling our fitness empire. You aren't just managing gyms; you are orchestrating an elite member experience across [Number] locations while ensuring our bottom line is as lean and powerful as our top athletes. As the SVP of Operations, you will own the operational strategy, P&L performance, and leadership development for our entire portfolio. You are a master of systems, a mentor to regional leaders, and a visionary who can turn "gym floor challenges" into "scalable solutions." Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the annual operational roadmap to drive membership growth, retention, and ancillary revenue (PT, retail, juice bars). Operational Excellence: Standardize "The [Company Name] Way." Ensure every club meets gold-standard benchmarks for cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and brand consistency. Financial Stewardship: Own the operational P&L. You’ll be responsible for budgeting, labor cost management, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning for facility upgrades. Team Performance: Oversee a hierarchy of Regional and Area Managers. You are responsible for building a high-performance culture that attracts and retains top-tier fitness talent. Member Experience: Monitor Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and member feedback loops to relentlessly improve the "front-to-back" gym experience. Scaling & Growth: Partner with the Real Estate and Development teams to oversee the operational launch of new sites (de-risking the "Grand Opening" phase). Who You Are The Strategist: You see the big picture but can spot a broken towel-service process from a mile away. The Coach: You believe in "leadership by walking around." You inspire your team to hit targets they didn't think were possible. The Analyst: You make decisions based on data, not just "gut feelings." You understand $LTV$, $CAC$, and $EBITDA$ like the back of your hand. The Culture Carrier: You live and breathe fitness. You understand that our product isn't just weights and cardio—it’s transformation. Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit operations (Fitness, Hospitality, or Retail preferred). Scale: Proven track record of managing at least [Number] units or a [Dollar Amount] revenue portfolio. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field; MBA is a significant plus. Tech Savvy: Familiarity with club management software (e.g., ABC Fitness, Mindbody), CRM tools, and advanced financial reporting.
